AC-DC (Stern 2012) - Lighting Bug Fix for Ninuzzu´s tables

I’ve been asked several times if I could fix @ninuzzu’s tables.

If your software is up to date, the tables have excessively bright lights and are unplayable.

Here is the fix for all six of his versions.

I haven't made any other improvements.

I also couldn't find any difference between Ninuzzu's versions of "Let There Be Rock" and "Back in Black."

Make sure you download ACD170.BIN from the Stern website if you want to play the two Pro versions. Thanks to @deadmanworking.

Have fun, and feel free to use my patch for further improvements.

Hey mate, cool that you put out these mods-- my buddies still prefer the Pro version to any other table version if you'd believe that :)
What are the other issues you mentioned on the tables? If I kney where I could take a look at it.

Hey, thanks for getting in touch.
I don't think the Pro version is all that bad, actually. It plays quite differently, somehow.

Regarding the issues, I noticed that the right horn next to the music tracks doesn't light up. I couldn't pinpoint the error in the code.
There’s also something off with the lights on the TNT target. Sometimes they light up when you hit the targets, and sometimes they don't.
It’s similar with ROCK and AC/DC, if I’m not mistaken.

It does puzzle me, though, that you guys haven't noticed this yet. Unless, of course, these are actually intended rule changes for the Pro version 🙂

Noticed at some point maybe but non-gamebreaking bugs are often shelved and forgotten in the heat of the moment.. anyway thanks, will take a look :)

Hey mate, so I did take a look and I can't confirm the visual errors you describe, horns and targets are lighting up correctly on all versions:
What version of VPX and Vpinmame are you on?

ok. That was my fault. Somehow I used a wrong ROM.🫣

Thank you for having a look. No issues anymore.

If you can still spot differences between "Back in Black" and "Let There Be Rock" now... 🙂

Running a full optimization run with Claude right now, beside that I'm also currently checking if the 2 Pro and 4 LE versions couldn't simply be combined into only 2 tables with F12 toggles, will report back

Thanks a lot for doing this. I'm so old in this community that I decided at that time NOT to install every ver that @ninuzzu made. At that time - my storage capacity was 256gb or something like that ?!

Now.idk - I prefer having them all available and you fixed their issues going forward. Much appreciated @MisterCoffee

@deadmanworking : What table should I explicitly use here ? Reason for asking is that I used Ninuzzu' pro and premium and the files become corrupted.

Should I have used the already patched ones from MisterCoffee instead ? I guess I can give that a try too.

Sorry my bad, the diffs were cut from the already patched tables .. I replaced them to patch the original ninuzzu tables AC-DC Pro-1.0 and AC-DC_Premium-1.5 (refresh the gdrive link)

@MisterCoffee @Thalamus maybe you guys wanna take a look at these 2 difs? For the Pro and Premium respectively

6 tables consolidated into 2 vpx files, F12 toggle. Does everything look OK, if yes might add a few more update at least to Pro version, like nfozzy etc

Hi,

thank you for doing it.

I am on a short vacation right now. Guess I will try it at wednesday or maybe friday.

Sounds pretty good to me.

Hi,

I applied your patch to both the AC-DC Pro 1.0 and AC-DC Premium 1.5.

It works great.

I haven't had enough time yet to figure out exactly how you did it, but I plan to dig deeper into that later.

While testing, I noticed two other things that aren't related to your patches:
1. There is an LED located in the top right corner (e.g., on the Pro Vault Edition). A black bar appears in that spot on all the six tables whenever the bright white light is on. I haven't been able to locate the source in the editor yet; perhaps you'll have better luck than I did.

2. The second point concerns the two Pro tables. I’ve noticed that in the Pro Vault version, the lights for TNT, ACDC, and ROCK behave differently than in the standard Pro version. They stay on almost constantly and don't flash as nicely.
For me, your "combined" version behaves just like the Pro Vault version, even though it’s based on the Pro version
Have you guys noticed this too? Or is something wrong on my end?

I'll be away tomorrow, but I could take a photo illustrating these two points over the weekend.
