they definitely have a reverberating ring to them, almost like crystal, less like an aluminum bar. I'll have to try them on a table and see how they go. Thanks for putting them up!

You thought as me i thought they were reverberating a bit too much , updated files, they sound more bar like imo now.

Been using online apps to try and fine tune

Just wondering if  "too flat" sounding now?

Got the original chime from https://www.epidemicsound.com/

Quite a few good quality pinball sounds on there, from actual machines.

Oh yeah. Your new ones sound MUCH better, much more like a metal bar. they probably should ring a tad longer

The reason i tried making some new EM sounds was to avoid getting a chime unit for my cabinet for various reasons and i was trying to make a sound like a chime unit.

Been playing plenty of EM VPX tables tonight and many chime sound effects are good anyway, Double Up has some good sounds.

Been a good experiment and i enjoyed it but i tried fixing something that wasnt "broken" to start with.

I was about to suggest you try some existing tables that have classic 3 chime sound like Abra Ca Dabra (1975), Old Chicago (1976), Aztec (1976) or Sinbad (1978).   It appears though you have already figured that out.  Be aware that are quite a few old EM and early SS tables that don't have 3 chimes.

I thought id be able to create a more realistic sound, but i think existing ones already are better overall.

I may still go for an actual chime unit.

I only have a 32 inch cabinet with 10 solenoids setup  so im thinking of using 3 of the existing solenoids (2 from centre area) and 1 slingshot, (slingshots are just 2 solenoids on a centre bar in the middle of the flipper solenoids) they are already wired to the pinscape so all i would have to do is change their function in the pinscape prog,  and extend their wires to the chime unit.

Ill have to test and see if i notice what one solenoid sound wise sounds like in the front centre to use for both slingshots, if it was a full size cab id probably notice but im wondering if i wouldnt with a 32 inch, im only thinking about it. Ill test tomorrow and say if its noticeable with just one solenoid for the slingshots. I dont really want to get an extension board for the sake of one solenoid. I use a sound effect/solenoid mix for the slingshots anyway.
