yeah thanks for adding another layer of encryption

Why do you care? I don’t get it. Just add the 2 files and done. This stupid discussion takes longer then it takes to unzip.

DMDExt v2.4.0 also contains the new libzedmd v0.10.1 and is prepared for the upcoming ZeDMD v6.0.0 release.

So it is important that you delete any serum.dll and zedmd.dll in you vpinmame folders.

Cheers for this info.

Baywatch turned the black and white once I placed the pin2color64.dll in my vpinmame folder. So far that’s the only one that’s not color now.  ☹️

if I remove the pin2color64.dll it becomes colored again, but then tmnt_200 color doesn’t work.

I'm using the pal/vni and it's ok. I didn't even know there was another format for baywatch

I’m also using .pal/.vni.  I don’t believe there is another format for baywatch. My DMD player is a pindmd v3.   Are you using a lcd DMD?

I run Baywatch, Batman forever, Maverick and Frankenstein virtual on my backglass because of the distortion if I run them on my pindmd v3.

What was your issue?

I hadnt properly installed the new files properly, even though i had done ok before.

Make sure there really is a problem before making threads/posts in future is the lesson.

Awesome! So everyone should know they need to again copy the two serum dll's into vpinmame, at least until freezy can incorporate the fix into his dmddevice dll's. Thanks @PastorLUL

Hi Cliffy,  I am only seeing the one serum dll.  And I missing something?

There is one for 32bit (x86) and one for 64 bit. (x64) If you use 64 bit only, you don´t need the 32 bit stuff. If you only use 32bit, you don´t need the 64bit one.

Click on the show all 13 assets tab at the bottom for the 32bit link.

I'm currently having issues with the Spider-Man Vault edition colorization.  It's a patched rom + .pal.  Is there errors with the DMD extension and the patch for the ROM?  Was working fine previously and now table crashes unless I use an unpatched rom.  .pal doesn't color the unpatched rom, unfortunantly.

My mistake.  Remember to install VPinMame-SC as it does make a difference.

Upgraded to this and now every single color conversion game rom ending in "hc" doesn't work. Mustang, X-Men, etc. Otherwise, everything else is fine and a nice update. I'd just like my HC roms to work again.

I am an idiot sandwich and

1) Didn't see the guy's issue resolved above me and

2) It worked after I upgraded to VPinMAME SC.

We're good!

Having issues getting this to work properly with Pro Pinball Timeshock:

I followed the Nailbuster directions (https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=setup_timeshock) using the latest version of DMDext 2.4

The DMD does show up after a command prompt window runs but it always ends up under the table on the main screen.  It appears at what I believe is 0.0 upper right corner when looking from the bottom of the cabinet.

Even if I move it to the 3rd monitor and adjust its size it returns to the original spot the next time the game is run.  The backhglass also usually ends up on the main monitor as well.

Isd there a way to specify where the DMD shows up?

This is my launch text in Steam   m3 dProPinballSlave q

I did have dofslave as well which worked but just trying to get the DMD fixed first.

Thanks in advance for any help

I finally foiund a solution after trying lots of settings.   Found in the troubleshooting of DMDext in the Github manual.  So for others and myself in the future :)

DmdDevice.ini Ignored?

DMD Extensions comes bundled in two versions: A library which is loaded by VPM called DmdDevice.dll, and an executable, dmdext.exe for all the other applications.

The executable ignores DmdDevice.ini because it's configured through command line options (that is, unless you specifically tell it to use a config file with the --use-ini option).

The use-ini option added in the ProPinballSlave.bat worked after setting the DMD position and size in the DmdDevice.ini file
