orschelzocki Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Just added the 64bit VPX Version to my cabinet (these VPW tables are great👍....but the newer ones asked me to switch to 64bit finally) So, i have created a new vpinball64 folder.... as copy of my vpinball folder... installed following new versions : B2SServer-2.1.5.1-d445bce-win (finally in a separate "b2s" folder instead of "tables" as recommended by this article ) VPinballX_GL-10.8.1-3788-2151290-windows-x64-Release VPinMAME-3.6.0-1227-ecd032e-win-x64 Unfortunaltely the backglasses are no longer triggered in VPX 10.8 32bit nor VPinballX_GL64 bit (10.8 32bit was working before the B2S upgrade) and ...sure, my backglassnames are identical to vpx table filename. The VPinballX_GL itself runs fine (and plays incredibly good😍 btw: Thanks everyone involved -you have done a great job) I can start any backglass from explorer by klicking on the backglass file ....B2SServer starts...Backglass is shown. To me it looks like VPX is simply not triggering the start of B2S with the corresponding backglass file.... Appreciate any ideas or help. Thank you in advance. (im going crazy 🤪🤪just spent another 2h try/re-install & register B2S )

orschelzocki Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 (edited) thx Cliffy ... yes it exists - i've renamed it and uploaded the b2stablesttings.xml which you had posted in the other post.... unfortunately no effect. Just did another reinstall of VPX copy-Pinmame copy&setup ..... again no luck Edited January 11 by orschelzocki
orschelzocki Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 ok quick update - i restored my former 10.8 - re-registered the pinmame and b2s --- backglass were shown (B2S version 2.1.3) updated to 10.8.1. and pinmame ... i was still able to load a backglass (evel knievel) in vpx👍. Then updating B2S (B2SServer-2.1.5.1-d445bce-win) ..causes the backglass to no longer load. 👎 looks like there is some kind of incompatibility with B2SServer-2.1.5.1 and VPX 10.8x -

orschelzocki Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Yep 10.8.0 works perfect. Will use 10.8.1 only for the tables that require it (GOT1. 2) -even without backglass a great table

New version certainly doesn't require the beta, VPW even recommend against using it with their tables. The B2S issues apparently have been solved for a while in the last beta builds but none of those are part of a release yet so as @Cliffy said that stuff is currently still for testing only and not general use.

I guess I need to wait for an update of B2S to be released ?

It works seamlessly in x86 or x64. https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass/releases

kontan Posted January 21 Posted January 21 (edited) Hi, I have exactly the same problem, I updated the B2s files to the 2.1.6, but still did not work as @KiwiBri. I kept B2S to 2.1.6 and rollbacked to vpinball x 10.8.0 and I get the backglass correctly showing up. Any way to debug that? Thanks ! Edit: I am using the regular VPinballX-10.8.1-3788-2151290-windows-x64-Release version, not the GL one, could it explain the difference? Edited January 21 by kontan
Cliffy Posted January 21 Posted January 21 10.8.1 is in constant flux and is intended for test purposes only. 10.8.0-2077 is the recommended latest stable version.
