Tables and related resources in this community are created by volunteers who collectively spend thousands of hours producing high-quality content and sharing it for free. If you pay for that content in any form, you are being scammed. You are paying for freeware while bypassing and disrespecting the creators and the community that make it possible. Any pack seller claiming otherwise is exploiting the system for personal gain. Virtual pinball is now more accessible than ever. In the past, setting up a system required significant time and effort. Today, tools like Baller Installer can get you running in minutes, and countless tutorials exist to help with basics such as downloading and installing tables. Learning these simple processes keeps you up to date, involved, and invested in the hobby. We encourage everyone to put in that small effort and to help others do the same. Pack sellers can only exist if pack buyers continue to support them. Thank you for supporting the community.

Countless hours spent on a completely free volunteer basis by so many talented creators, artists, coders, testers, etc. Tables should always be downloaded from supported partner websites, never in packs and absolutely never paid for in any way shape or form. And on top of all of this. If you appreciate the work done by these creators, take a moment to like, comment or review the tables.

hauntfreaks Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I'll say what I been saying for years.... the hobby should go underground.... there might be, 200ish people that deserve anything creator , create... 99.99999999999% are just leeches.... and deserve nothing, at all....IMO Proof: heres the easiest way to see how the general community feels about any of this.... 99.99999999% dont give a fuck.... go on VPF.... go to a bogus upload that was stolen from someone that didnt want there stuff on VPF..... then read the comments.... then you will see how... close to all the community cares less.... I'll save you all the time... they dont give a fuck... its all give me... give me.. give me.... no matter how i can get it for free... truth hurts... facts dont lie...

gonzonia Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Thank you for all the amazing tables! It's that "help others do the same" that makes this hobby so amazing. Ever since I started in this hobby with an ALP, I've always felt welcomed and received support and help from the community.

Totally agree with this. If I ever need any help, the first thing I say is a big THANK YOU!! then ask a question or report an issue. Basic manners really, a trait that's unfortunately missing from an increasingly large proportion of the world's population in 2026.
naeromagus Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Signed. I don't even know how many hours spent collecting everything for my cab. But I can assure you it was all 1 by 1 downloads . Many hour spent configuration tables. Download. And it is all thanks to the gracious authors ( team efforts) without you all I would not be playing my cab almost daily. And I have been playing since 2007.. those days scripts and tables roms . Vp8 all had to be downloaded individually. Today it has been made Soooo much more easily accessible. So in closing please do not support any type of pinball packs. (Report immediately) To show support and love ❤️ for the community Naeromagus (Brandon)

RabidUrko Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Well said. If someone just feels the need to buy all the software for this hobby, they are in the wrong hobby even if they dont create anything. I thoroughly appreciate everyones work each time i download something. (Have done since i first got interested in VP in the early 2000s, and even more so the past three years i have moved onto a cabinet.) I would have posted earlier but i have only just logged on. In the 4 years since discovering this community and VPX in general, I've almost completely stopped gaming and am playing on desktop or vr or (until my cabinet died) cabinet and I can't be more thankful for the amazing recreations and new tables I get to play for free! VPX has literally changed my hobby at 46. All of you who've already commented above, thanks for everything you do for us. For free... I have an artist friend who's a normal not rich by any means tattoo artist, who's had his work stolen and sold online so many times it's beyond ridiculous... I even found one of his horror collages sold as pinball cabinet skins... Fuck the thieves that sell your creations!
DGrimmReaper Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Signed. It's not that hard to leave a like/review for a download. It's also very easy to ask for help in the community to get things going. Scammers making claims that creators don't care obviously did not ask any legitimate creators.

But I'm also proud of my work and I want others to be able to enjoy the end product. Contrary to what others say, I think most people truly appreciate what creators do. There are some ingrates, but I believe they are the exception. Even if that's not the case, seeing one video review like those done by SpaciesPinball far outweigh any of the negatives for me. I find the entire concept of table packs to be ridiculous. It took me a while when I first started this hobby to come to that realization. I think it's human nature to want all the tables. The fact of the matter is, you only have time to play a select number of tables. Personally, I have maybe 5 tables that I come back to play regularly. The most I play tables is while I'm building or play testing. Seldom do I come back to those tables a few weeks after they've been released. So you get a table pack, you get all the tables, and you never play them. What for? The great tables releases is part of what makes this hobby fun. It's an opportunity for the community to try a new table, play it with the community for a few weeks, and find out if you really like it. Then decide if it's a table you'll come back to again-and-again. Or maybe decide to become a creator yourself ... Edited to add: Those that create table packs think they are doing others a favor. They really aren't. I have no problem with those that build cabs for others and sell them for a profit. Without table packs.
Kryne Posted January 5 Posted January 5 No way i'd buy a pack like that, id much rather be buying direct from the creators. That's what amazes me about being being rude with comments or with issues. Your giving this stuff away after months/years of work. Please don't disappear. I do try comment and liking every file i get now. Please keep up the amazing work you all do.
