Godzilla (70th Anniversary Premium)

Hello everyone!

today I am sharing the Godzilla (70th Anniversary Premium) table. it's a remix of sega's godzilla table and stern's godzilla playfied. the rules of the game are modified a bit with targets add triggers and spinners the ramps and 3D objects.

 

table is using alias godzillabwpup,godzilla

 

i want to start with thanking @marty02 or should i say super marnty....lol.  

thanks for the permission to mod your awesome godzilla table. thank you for your help on the new playfield. you are one of my favorite table makers.  

i wanna thank @bigus1 who helped on marty original table

if anyone i left out please let me know

 

i also wanna thank @Ahr1manfor the permission to mod your nfozzy vr version.

 

i also wanna thank @GtecArcadefor the script in the table and for his awesome pup pack to work with it.

file overlays is a black and white overlay for gtecarcade pup

Hello, I have tried to install and run this table and pup packs. At this point when I launch it I get the pup packs running, the DMD displaying and then an error as seen in the screen shots. The pup keeps running until I cancel out of VPX. I have reinstalled the rom, table and pup. I have also looked thru the script for answers and I’m getting nothing. Any help would be great.

did you add this to your VPMAlias.txt in the vpinmame folder?  godzillabwpup,godzilla

I did not add that. Where was it described as I missed it and want to know where to look in the future. I will go try this and see if it fixes my issue.

Ok I looked and I did not know what an Alias was in a VPX.

an alias is just that. An alternate name representing another name. We need this so that a modded game doesn't affect the scores and settings of the original game.

So that got the table working.

Being new to this I have what I think is an issue with the backglass and DMD and I'm not sure how to adjust or fix it.

Look at photo and tell me if that is correct or needs fixing please.

I should say I do get videos on the main part of the backglass but those 2 other screens are always there and they play stuff too.

Oops one more, I cannot get into the ROM to set it for free play. How do I access this rom or change it to freeplay as I could not find it in the script either.

I would say you need to run the Option 2 bat in the pupvideos\godzillapup folder.

You also likely need to run the edit-this-puppack bat and then click the configure displays/locations button. This will create a pinupplayer.ini tailored to your screens locations and sizes

 

To get into the rom settings hit the F2 key in game and it will show the list of keys used to get into the portals menu

Cliffy, this info helped so so much, I'm so close now. I ran the option 2 batch file first and it really did not change anything. But then I ran the edit this puppack batch file and went through all the options and came up with what I needed and wanted. I also move the ROM DMD display to fit into the screen. 

I have also tried to change the frame on the backglass to remove the small top and bottom frames but for some reason I cannot get it to display the image selected. The image is from the same folder and selected by clicking on the 3 dots to get the browse window that goes right to that folder. See pictures. This is the final step as I got into the ROM and got Freeplay set also.

 

1 more piece of info. I edited the screens.pup file in the root of the pup pack and it shows the screen I have selected. I'm almost ready to rename the wrong screen and change the one I want to that screen name. 

 

*** UPDATE *** I did the file rename thing and now it works perfect. I do not know why changing it in the config did not change the file. Do you have to compile puppacks?
