Classic Tables deserves an update to 10.8

Hey everyone,

 

I hope you're all doing well. I've noticed that in the past few months, many new original tables have been released, which is always exciting. But what I feel is missing more classic tables from the era of the big manufacturers (Williams, Bally, Data East, Gottlieb, etc.) that get updated to the latest VPX version (10.8) with amazing physics,  graphics and  techniques. I think many of us would love to see a modernized version of classics like Daredevil, Firepower II, Haunted House, Jungle Lord, Black Knight and all the others which wheren´t updated for a long time. There are so many left which would deserve an update also this for preservation reasons.

 

Are there any thoughts in the community on bringing these tables up to date? I’d love to hear some thoughts and ideas on what we can do for the digital preservation of these tables.

 

Personally, I think these classics, with the best technical updates and the latest physics, are just the essence of what great pinball is all about!

What do you find wrong with Haunted House and Black Knight?? Both have been tricked out to the max by the best in the business. Perhaps you don't have best versions in your collection?

Just a quick clarification since my original post seems to have been misunderstood:

I wasn’t specifically asking about the few examples I mentioned like Haunted House or Black Knight – those were just illustrative and i have the best versions. What I meant was that many older VPX tables, especially older ones and not so common ones still from VPX 10.7/10.6 , could really use some attention and proper updates.
