Content Provider leeoneil Posted April 11, 2025 Content Provider Posted April 11, 2025 Hello everyone ! 3 years ago, I was discovering the work of @scottacus on is real cuphead homebrew pinball. It opened to me all this amazing world of "homebrew pinball". He told me at that time : "be careful, it took me a year and it can be very frustrating !" Scott, I want to complain because it took me 3 fu..g years to achieve mine ! 😆 I won't retold everything, but if someone see this in the future, as i've seen the work of scottacus, maybe you'll have the idea to try by yourself. It was hard, it was horrible most of the time, but it's so satisfying to have a real pinball machine coming from scratch. The total story is here on pinside : https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/wip-the-ball-of-cthulhu Maybe one day I'll try to put it on VPX, because I have already all the 3d parts. Just miss the metal ramp, we'll see. I need now a break. Maybe I'll be back here for more DOF, because I almost left the community of pincab during 3 years, the homebrew took all my free time.
deadmanworking Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 @leeoneil so cool. Read the full thread over on Pinside, you did amazing and ingenious work. Congrats!
scottacus Posted April 17, 2025 Posted April 17, 2025 @leeoneil This is so impressive, great job! My Pinside account doesn't notify me of "@" posts so I had no idea that you were working on this. When I get some time I'm going to read through your entire Pinside post to see how you went about creating this wonderful machine.
Thalamus Posted April 17, 2025 Posted April 17, 2025 (edited) Holy, that looks amazing ! A good sign of a good result is seeing you working so hard to keep the ball in play in the very end of that video. I think that thread is very useful for anyone that wants to go on the homebrew route. Huge congratulations !!!!!! Edited April 17, 2025 by Thalamus

AMAZING, AWESOME AND INCREDIBLE!!! 🤩
JFR1 Posted April 17, 2025 Posted April 17, 2025 Wow. Will love reading up on this undertaking. Following Scott on his journey was fascinating, looking forward to this.
Content Provider leeoneil Posted April 18, 2025 Author Content Provider Posted April 18, 2025 Thank's everyone ! And go for a pinball homebrew, we need to see more of these ! 😅 Here in Europe, and particularly in France, there is almost no homebrew "scene". I explained a lot of what I did on a french forum, so I hope more people will try to build one (some projects are appearing now).
