solved Something causing balls to fly up to the top/top right when games start

I've done... something to my setup that's causing the ball to shoot up to the top right of all the tables.  I'm not sure what, as everything was working fine last year when I last touched things.  I think I was running 10.8 RC4 before.  So, I downloaded RC7, the most recent 2.3 Freezy and VpinMame to bring things up to date.   Now, I have roaming balls.  For a bit, I was having DMD issues, but I went back through and made sure things were installed/registered/unblocked correctly.  I just can't figure out this ball issue.  Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Is a controller pluged into your cab? If yes, remove it or calibrate it and try again.

Hmm.  I'm frankenstein-ing my arcade cabinet to serve as my vpin until I can afford to build a separate unit.  I have an arduino-powered driving pedal that I put together that's been plugged in all the time.  Seems it's somehow lost calibration or is otherwise freaking out, I guess.  Unplugging it did the trick.  Appreciate the nudge in the right direction!
