Fallout Vault Edition 2.0 (LTek 2024)

Everyone wants to save the world, they just disagree on how

                     released 2024-09-20
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Vault Edition 2.0 is a visual update + FlexDMD + VR + nFozzy Physics + Fleep Sounds and much more.

Many thanks to...
Clairvius for the original concept with Fallout Season 1 (reskin of Sword of Fury)
GMan for the PuP Pack which perfectly compliments the table.... https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/20245-fallout-pup-pack-vault-edition/

Install Instructions

-- ROM : copy swrds_l2.zip to your \vpinmame\roms
-- add VPMalias :  fallout,swrds_l2
-- copy Fallout.FlexDMD folder to your \tables
-- update your DOFconfig

Media :
-- Fallout_FullDMD_FlexDMD.mp4 (modified to use with the custom FlexDMD built-into the table)
-- Rule Card
-- PuP Pack not Required but reccomended. (separate download)
-- Table has No Music and No Call Outs without the PuP. I reccomend using at least the Music Only version.

Table Tips :
-- Left Magna ... shows Playfield Rules Overlay when ball not in play
-- Right Magna ... changes the background music the PuP Pack plays
-- Cabinet Mode has a unique feature. The middle wire ramp extends and contracts. Disabled in VR and DT due to VPX limitations.

What is VPMalias? can someone help me .  where do i get it? where do I put IT.

You can find the VPMAlias.txt file in your VPinMAME folder, where Visual Pinball is installed. (See pic.)

Capture.thumb.PNG.a31083537d8be617616c6c8c38e34e11.PNG

You would then add fallout,swrds_l2 to the text file, and save when closing it.

If you can't figure it out, I have added fallout,swrds_l2 to the VPMAlias.txt file for you and added as attachment.

Download the VPMAlias.txt file and place in your VPinMAME folder.

Great job on the table LTek!

Thanks to all who had a helping hand!

Carry on.

Many table authors who create mods or reskins, use the rom that the original table used.

Well to avoid overwriting High Scores, and other settings on the original table, they are able to use the VPMAlias.txt file to assign a new name for the rom, basically a clone of the rom, but now the settings don't interfere with the original table used.

This particular table is a reskin of Swords of Fury. So they don't want to overwrite setttings on that original table, which is why they use the VPMAlias method.

Table Authors will usually tell you what to add to the VPMAlias.txt file if they used it in their creation.

If you come across another table that tells you to add something to the VPMAlias.txt file, just open the VPMAlias text file and add it to the next line at the bottom of text, and save afterwards.
