I'm pleased to share my colorization of Capcom's Breakshot in Serum (.CRZ) format.  I hope you will enjoy.

 

In the zip file, you will find two versions:
- The Purist Edition is faithful to the original ROM, where black backgrounds remain black for higher contrast.
- The Gradient Edition that has extra color gradients added in the background.

 

Thanks to the awesome people sharing the adventure on the Serum Discord and to the beta testers for your precious feedback.

Fixes to Gradient Edition only

  • Fix one incorrect frame in Top Hustlers
  • Fix first frame of Welcome Player x
  • Fix Welcome Player 2/3/4  purple-black flicker
  • Fix Jackpot is Lit purple-black flicker
  • Adjust color of Replay At frame for better visibility

 

Fixes to both Purist & Gradient Editions

  • Add Player 2,3,4 Over the Top scoring frames
  • Add double digit support for Over The Top (10+)
  • Add 9M Jackpot frame
  • Add Super Jackpot frames
  • Add 1.5M Rotation Winner animation frames
  • Add 6M,16M,48M,60M Bouncing Balls animation frames
  • Add one frame of Jackpot Lady talking

 

Both Gradient and Purist Editions included in .zip.

Kraken, still at the top level. Colorimetry is very well adjusted and the choice to have another version without gradients in the background (Purist edition) is just a very smart choice (especially when you own a ZeDMD). Thx!
