Due to system limitations searching with words of 3 or less characters will not return results. For instance; Doctor Who. This will not return results as the system is trying to search for both Doctor AND Who in which Who will not be found as it's a 3 character word. To find Doctor Who; you'd search for either Doctor or "Doctor Who".
Search Tips:
For specific searches; enclose your search with quotes. Example: "Doctor Who" or "Addams Family".

Anyone have tried and true solutions for securing parts together? I built my jank cabinet in two pieces: the playfield "box" and the backglass "box". The backglass stands on the flat part of the table similar to how those behind-the-toilet shelves do, but it's a bit top heavy and my floor isn't exactly level, so I'm looking for suggestions on how to attach the two while still being able to detach them when necessary. My wife's idea was to use a sliding door lock, like you'd find on a bathroom stall, so I'm gonna look into that, but figured someone here had probably already done it and I don't wanna reinvent the wheel.

Virtual Pinball Building Guide 2nd edition
MajorFrenchy posted a tutorial in Cabinet Building & Configurations
Most of you will remember the guide that i created about 2 years ago which was a good overall general purpose guide for Virtual Pinball. We went Full Throttle in this 2nd version. We made a few modifications in the format. We decided to host the guide on our website instead of a PDF as we will keep updating it and this was not possible with the PDF version. We are restoring a 1975 Williams cabinet and will equip it will all the bells and whistles available. ( Addressable LED, Shaker, Gear, Chime, blower fan, dot matrix etc.. ) we have documented every section and will present it in a Youtube Video series released twice a week. As the Youtube episode gets released, the section covered by the Video will be unlocked on the website. ------------------------------------------------------- The complementary sections of the guide will be found on the website http://www.mameinabox.com - Pinball History: https://www.youtube....h?v=yvS6slWbBh4 - Parts list: https://www.youtube....v=pPA0OhFuBBg - Cabinet restoration: https://www.youtube....h?v=ikYdxunVAE8 - Cabinet Priming ,paint and repairing front coins door: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEiOHisq_Xk&t=23s - Removing rust from Pinball parts ( The easy way ) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3NnLbISG5U - Self adhesive vinyl installation ( Decals ) : https://www.youtube....h?v=mnNZZ1BQM0A - Installing cross supports and contactors: https://www.youtube....h?v=EAT64hAlM-g - Installing components mounting board : https://www.youtube....h?v=8l3vYTZgX8U - Building the DMD with a CNC machine : https://www.youtube....v=TxMS4UInSm4 - Setting up Addressable LED ring in speaker grill: https://www.youtube....h?v=-zvSngqQz24 - Setting up Dual Monitor in the Back box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qekSVIv0QlA&t - Installing Diode on toys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyzH1pVlWX0 - Wiring contactors, Fuse holder, power step down https://youtu.be/7Lx1n6cJ-g8 - Installing buttons in the cabinet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVnDZkJR4sg - Installing a digital plunger kit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeLVIH5NPjM - Computer hardware and software the essentials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkDcCitfKJY&t - Direct Output Framework ( DOF ) setup: https://youtu.be/qbfe12eL9_Y - Led-wiz: https://youtu.be/cxieZfF1lrQ - Sainsmart Board: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj8qWDqQhgI& - Setting up Visual Pinball: https://www.youtube....v=SN3S6RtTko0 - Setting up Future Pinball: https://www.youtube....v=itsxm2E8vQQ - Xpadder: https://www.youtube....v=2Kohl6KHP80 - Pinball Arcade: https://www.youtube....v=mYqM8jRhF08 - DOF Config Overview: https://www.youtube....h?v=OR-CX1Xbu7U - Roms: https://www.youtube....?v=Y3GHdaueCMY - Pinball FX3: https://www.youtube....?v=xf2kafUfNGc - Setting up Pinball X: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRhNhlpiq_o& - Future DMD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7_vA8CHoNk - Setting up BAM ( Better Arcade Mode ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcF4SphaBW4 - Connecting a Gear motor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6o5fRiqQGg - DOFLINX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BwxsyvU-Y8& - Installing a shaker motor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMwRbsBr_oM& - Installing a Knocker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XLD2l4DlE0 - Setting up Ultra DMD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-igS-TuwVWQ& Enjoy! Hi all, I'm new in this community and I'm planning to build my own VPin. At the moment, I plan my table, and one thing is the placement of the main screen under the glass. I've seen a lot of tables with the 'official' angled main screen with a smaller gap between the screen and the glass in the front and a bigger gap in the back. On the other hand, I've read about the new software version 10.8 with the new POV settings and people talking about that now the angle and also the gap isn't necessary any longer. I do not plan to add led strips between the glass and the screen, and also I do not plan to add a led panel at the back end. So what do you think, what is a versatile way to build a VPin nowadays with 10.8, the traditional way or with the screen just below the glass? Thanks a lot!
