Hi Score change or the best program t

Hi guys,

 

I have some question about Hi scores for Visual pinball.

What i want to do and i don't get it work and its frustrating.

I want to change the hi score in the roms, not reset because some hi scores are big and i want to start with zero.

Most of the time i play against myself or other players on the machine, online is also good for me but not necessary.

Is there a way to change this?

 

I'll try pinemhi, but this can only read the files not change. Am i right?

I know there are some video's online about the different types of files. But the most tables are rom related.

The newer tables are not a problem because you can change them in notepad or something.

 

If there is no way to do it.

Please let me know what are you using for online hi scores, what program is the best for the most of the tables.

i'm using Scorebit for Galaxy of the Gardains.

You can usually do this from the Service Menu.

 

Take NFL (Stern 2001) table for example.

You press 7 to enter Service Menu.

Use flippers to get to Adjustments Menu.

Then select S.P.I. Adjustments.

Then toggle to Adjustment #21

You can raise or lower High Scores.

Then you use flippers to adjust, and 7 to confirm.

I just set the HighScore to zero.

It was in the S.P.I. Adjustment settings in this particular table, but you should be able to find this on most DMD tables, though it may be worded differently, or in different section of menu.

 

I lowered it to zero. (See Pic)

Hi Xenonph,

 

I’m setting the score to the minimum in AFM and Batman.

I set the score in the menu and i see it in the menu but in the game I see the old settings standard.

See pics what I mean.

batman table i set the score #1 , 2 etc on the same score.

 

in the game i get this score on display, see pic2

what I’m doing wrong please let me know.? 

 

attack from mars is the same problem.

Hi Tilburg: Once you have adjusted the scores you then have to reset them. In AFM look in the Utilities menu of the ROM, U3 is Reset HSTD.

 

Some games the reset is in the Utilities menu, others it will be in some other menu. The thing you have to be careful of is that you are not resetting everything in the ROM to factory settings. I have done this and then you have to go back through and adjust everything.
