VR heavy stutter/freezing only with tables which use PUP

Hello everyone, I am new to vpvr I will try to explain my issue.

My setup is:

- a i12900/3080 pc

- oculus quest 2 through opencomposite

- vpx 10.8

- installed flexdmd, dmdext, pup all to latest version (beta where available, as suggested by latest tables)

 

-I use link (cable) to connect pc/vrheadset

 

My problem is:

Only when I play tables which use PUP, there's extreme lag (several seconds, sometimes the hourglass appearing).

 

Has anybody had this kind of problem?

Could be that your video card is having issue with too many displays on one screen or overlapping. Not sure of your setup but maybe see if the Virtual DMD on your desktop can be moved to another display. Example if you are running a cabinet you may need to drag the DMD to the backglass.

Edit: sorry I mismatched another issue I am having with FlexDMD...

 

I can see the PUP just fine in terms of positioning (usually PUP packs come with a pre-set option bat I see). The problem is that it adds a lot of lag in VR, I don't get it nor in Desktop/FS mode, nor with other non-pup vr tables

I have the same problem with my configuration that is very powerful so I don't understand why with VR there is all this heavy stuttering, do you find a solution?
