Need Help Using Mouse for Plunger on Desktop

On desktop, is there a way I can simply use my mouse as a plunger?    I would like to click and hold to pull back the plunger to desired strength, and release mouse button to fire.  This would help greatly with skill shots/soft plunges as compared to the Enter key.    My googling lead to DIY building a plunger with an old mouse lol... it doesn't need to be that hard ... there must be an easier way to regulate the plunger on Desktop??
