Possible to install 64 Bit VP 10.8 on a fully working 32 bit system?

I have a wonderfully working 32Bit install of VP, VPX,  FP, PM5, PBX etc.  Pup Packs, Roms, Backglasses, Flex DMD, All forms of Freezy, Lucky and .PAC colour roms all function perfectly.  No DOF, 2 screen cabinet.

 

Is it possible to follow Nailbuster's VPX 64 Bit install guide AND ONLY UPDATE the 64 Bit portions without touching any of the totally working 32 Bit files.  The one area I am most concerned about is the changes to B2S 2.0.... Moving of folders, deleting certain files.....

 

The community's thoughts and feedback please?

Here is the manual I took to update to 64bit. At the bottom of the page you find the link to the instructions, video included.
I was watching the video twice to understand whats going on, then I did  a complete backup and followed the instructions carefully.
Had no problems. Every of my tables do work with 64bit. I can still run the 86 32 bit version without problems. But I did not need it for a long time. 🙂

in this wiki you will also find infos about updating b2s-server 😉
Instructions lead to update to 10.7.4 64 bit, but updating to 10.8 is the same. Be carefull - its still a beta. many things are changing rapidly ..
