I can't see the score on my playfield?

Hello, just tried out Stars tonight and for some odd reason I can't see the player score? It's just blank? I have no text whatsoever on the playfield like credits etc? I can play the game which is very good btw but seeing no score is not good! I'll try reinstalling and placing the rom in the rom folder again I suppose.
