Smart Undercab LEDs switch to wrong colour after ~1sec... ?

Hi all,

 

Weird issue - maybe someone has experienced something similar?

 

My smart undercab LEDs change to the wrong colour about 1-2 seconds after a table opens (VPX).

E.g.  AC/DC - LEDs start bright red, switch to light pink after a second.  Addam's Family, purple > orange.

 

I use PinballY as my front-end and see the same issue there also, so it seems it's likely an issue with DOF itself.

 

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Sounds like a power delivery issue to be honest. The Red-to-pink is sort of a giveaway.

 

I would try wiring in some additional supply voltage to the undercap strips and see if that helps.

Hey, wasn't expecting a reply to this after 9 months but thanks!

 

You inspired me to take another look at the hardware side of things after a long time assuming it was a DOF issue  - additional voltage to the strips made no difference, but I eventually tried hooking the strips up to different output ports on my cab controller and... it fixed it!

 

Reds are red again, and everything is about twice as bright as previously.  I guess the controller board had some issue - either way, thanks again!
