vasectomboy
We have a bunch of Pin2DMD-displays that I built according to the Nucleo-v4 PCB and MikePinball's instructions. The displays work on Congo and Demolition Man, but on Addams Family, The Shadow and No Fear the screen is just garbage (image attached from No Fear). The blue LED on Nucleo seems to blink all the time, indicating that a bunch of data is coming in. All the machines work with normal old plasma displays. Any good indications on where the problem might be, or does Pin2DMD just reject some real machines?
Content Provider lucky1 Posted March 23, 2023 Content Provider Share Posted March 23, 2023 Did you try setting the mode to Bally/Williams in the onscreen menu ?

Content Provider lucky1 Posted March 23, 2023 Content Provider Share Posted March 23, 2023 Maybe your autodetection fails for some reason. Please set Bally/Williams manually in the onscreen menu.

The problem was that J116 in all of those pinballs had the +5V as pin 1, in addition to the ground and +12V on pins 2 and 3 respectively. Using a two pin connector on J117 seemed to make those Pin2DMD-displays work in all the devices I mentioned in the previous post.
