Depends on if it's EM/SS and who made the table.

 

For EM's I generally start with Loserman's default physics (but with a playfield slope of 5.25).

For pre-2000's SS's I generally start with JP's v4 physics (but with playfield friction upped to .075ish)

 

Depending on how a dev set on individual playfield elements, these two might not work. Then it's tweaking time.

 

Those are some bizarre settings.
