Hi,

 

Unfortunately, I was suppose to start Batman Stern Dark Knight (after I finish No Fear), but I encounter some issue in Pin2Dmd editor so I decided not to continue Dark Knight :( Sorry guys.....

 

But looks like Congo has been abandoned, if I look at the list,  this table I really like :) Missing a color DMD LOL So, I will give it a shot as a side project. 

 

Im still working on the Video Mode (my last scene) of No Fear, so this will give me a break from No Fear hahah

 

I will update you guys like always!

 

If the other person who works on Congo show up and he wants to continue is project, I will  not continue doing this for sure. I don't want to step on anyone toes...

Hi Lucky,

 

It seems that when I loaded the dump of a SAM game and try to use 16 or 64 colors, I can only use 4 color on the scene I cut..... When I use color mask only 4 colors can be choose... very weird... I got the latest editor with Plugins, also, when I chose any dump prior to SAM I can use all the colors... Only the SAM games I can't, like Tron, Dark knight etc...

 

Did I miss something?

 

I can't seems to fix it....

Could you attach the dump you made ?

I just made a quick check and could not reproduce the problem.

Make sure you have set 64 colors and number of planes when cutting set to 6 in the editor configuration.

Its doing the same issue with your file... :( I can use all color in Replace mode but only 4 colors in colormask....

 

Yes my editor is set to 64 colors and 6 planes.

In Colormask mode the shades are predefined by the machine. WPC and DataEast send 4 shades while SAM and Spike send 16 shades.

This means that in 64 color mode you have 16 colorgroups available for WPC/DE and 4 Colorgroups for SAM/Spike machines.

So in fact you have 64 colors available in Colormask mode but only 4 per shade for SAM and Spike. To overcome that limit you can use LRM colorization mode

where you can partly replace (e.g. for the animations on the right) and partly colormask (e.g. for score on the left) . The parts are defined by the L-Mask.

So what you are referring to is not an issue with the editor, but a limitation given by the machine.

Ohhh ok, I didn't know that, thanks a lot Lucky1!! I appreciate your reply!

 

I was just use to  colorize WPC/DE game so I taught I was doing something wrong or my editor was not setup correctly for SAM.

Video Mode almost complete!

 

Just bug here and there but fixable :)

 

Mine Scene was crazy ..... so much combination with the 2-3-4-5 doors route.... So much dump files to get all of them... maybe 5 combination out of 60 that I didn't get by playing...Almost done the rest of the route possibilities!
