vasectomboy Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 So I have some Nucleo-F4 shields still to be built for my machines, but I'm not quite understanding what was the correct SD card module meant for that design? The one pictured in Github''s sd_reader.jpg is extremely hard to find from any reputable sources (the only supplier in AliExpress had _RUSTED_ pins on each of the modules), thus I'd like to buy the Waveshare modules instead. Are they interchangeable or should I do a new edit of the PCB instead or what?
vasectomboy Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 As an example, would this work without the resistors that are added in the other older module? What is the function of those resistors? https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005002766855429.html
Content Provider lucky1 Posted February 9, 2023 Content Provider Posted February 9, 2023 You can find the WaveShare design in an older commit https://github.com/lucky01/PIN2DMD/tree/d0b4a993d4c106e80d116b73801fd2c733af0b32/hardware/V4 NUCLEO-144

Following the second post in question, would the micro SD card readers work without the 10K pull-up resistors?
