Magius74 Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Does anyone have Puppacks like this working in VR? I have a couple of VR Tables that had PupPacks created for the original 2D table where all the PUPVideos are triggered by DMD Screen caps. These don't seem to work when run with VPinballX_GL.exe. Oddly they WILL function perfectly when run with VPinballX.exe Is there a difference in how PupCapture works in VR vs Non-VR VPX??? I was thinking that since the in both scenarios the DMD is displayed on my Computer's Monitor that PUP would be able to "see" what the DMD is doing and cue the next PUP video accordingly. The only thing that is really different is that the DMD is also being Captured and "Streamed" to the DMD in VR. Perhaps it is a situation where PUP can do one or the other but not both?? It can either "monitor" the DMD screen to cue videos OR "Stream" DMD Screen into VR but not both at the same time???
FredCapone Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Same trouble for me. I solve it for "Willy Wonka" table with 50000 in "farplane" setting. But can't have pupvideo in "Harry Potter"....

A couple of things, you need to have PinUP Player installed, It will not work with 64bit, and check the "Capture External DMD" box in the VR Options as per the pic and also hit "F1" when the table is running to make sure "Use External DMD (dll)" is selected.
Magius74 Posted January 28, 2023 Author Posted January 28, 2023 OK thanks Studly, I think I see the issue. Your screencap shows me that we are on different versions. I know, I know, I should probably be on 10.8 but I actually can not get b2s or DMD capture to work on 10.8 no matter what I tried. Only by slowly rolling back one version at a time was I able to get it all working under 10.7.1 Not sure why that is but at least right now B2s, PupPacks, FreezyDMD, FlexDMD, they all work in VR under 10.7.1 for me. The only thing that is not working is any PupPack that needs DMD screen grabs for event triggers. I was just trying to understand why that would not work. Honestly I believe that there is a "Perfect Match" scenario where if you have a specific version of FreezyDMD with a specific version of Pinup Player with a specific version of B2S server with a specific version of Vpinmame with a specific version of VpinbalX_GL then it will all work perfectly in conjunction with each other. BUT since each of these programs can be updated independently of each other it is difficult for me to know what the exact version compatibility is between each and every program. I wonder if I am just ignorant to some universal compatibility chart somewhere.
Magius74 Posted January 30, 2023 Author Posted January 30, 2023 Follow up on this for any future generations that might be having the same issue. I did get PupPack DMD framegrab triggers work. After I paid closer attention to what Studly posted above I noticed he mentioned that it would not work with 64 bit VPinbalX_GL. So I changed over to using the 32 bit version and now all my PuPpacks work in VR. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time, I just never saw that 64 bit had this limitation before.
