I have ordered EVO128x32 PCBs from elecrow. I also ordered RGB displays (Adafruit 5036) and a NUCLEO-F446ZE from Digi-Key.

 

I wanted to try the RGB matrixes with the Nucleo-F446ZE and loaded the pin2dmd.bin and nothing shows on the matrix. Now to my questions. 
 

1. Is the Adafruit RGB matrixes compatible?

2. Is it possible to only hook up the displays and run pin2dmd without any other electronics (rs232, sd-card etc.)

3. Is the NUCLEO-F446ZE compatible?
