I tried to build a nucleo based 256x64 pin2dmd

Hi everyone thought id give it a crack and try diy for some fun, so it is assembled and boots, I used the EVO 256x64 firmware as this is all that worked.

 

  1. I can configure the display in the on display menu.
  2. I used st-link V3-10-3 cant seem to downgrade as I did see this has caused issues in forum posts.
  3. it is activated.
  4. completed input test as per website.
  5. with an sd card in the slot it boots but if I reset the nucleo board while powered it seems to crash.
  6. plugged into a real pinball it remains on the boot screen.

 

Attached some photos of the chip sets used on board just in case I used the wrong ones.

 

looking for some next steps in troubleshooting.
