Backglass hidden behind score screen in 3 screen B2S configuration (only in a few tables) [Solved]

Hi everyone!

 

I have a strange problem only a few tables.

For example with "Indiana Jones The Pinball Adventure (Williams 1993)" or "The Machine (Bride of Pinbot) Williams 1991".

 

First, I prefer to specify that all my other tables works well (about 100 installed) and i use :

Screen 1 : Playfield 4k

Screen 2 : BackGlass (1920x1080)
Screen 3 : DMD (1920x1080)

Windows 10

VPX 10.7.2

 

So... in my example i'm testing :

Table :

Backglass :

 

Firs case, if i use the 2 screens version "Pinbot-2SRC" --> my backglass and the "score" are in the same screen (2) and and I can see the score only on the DMD.

 

 

Second case, if i use the 3 screen version "Pinbot-3SRC" --> my backglass and the "score" are in the same screen BG and and I can see the score in the DMD and in the Backglass

 

In the 2 cases the backglass is hidden on the backglass screen behind the score.

 

If i hit F1 i have this configuration :

 

 

Do you have any idea what's wrong?

Could you please post the res file, that config is using? Maybe some the 3 Screen Users can see whats the problem.

BUT it's not my screenRes (i think)  because the other tables works great, for example :

 

 

The Backglass is well placed on screen 2.

yep @MadmaxFR sounds unlogical, but so a specialist for 3 Screens has all infos possible. I am only a desktopper with no experience on cab setting but, your settings seem to be ok for me.
Can you please post a pic of your b2s server settings. (right click on backglass)

mmh. what if you set Grill and DMD from standard to hidden?

For the Pinbot rom try unchecking “use external dmd” and check “show dmd/display window” and restart the table.  Those are the settings I use for most alphanumeric backglasses and just use freezy (external dmd) for proper full on dot matrix dmds.

 

Might also be worth giving hauntfreaks full dmd backglass a try they work really well.

 

If you’re still having issues follow the instructions on this post for correctly setting up the screenres.txt file.  There’s also a link in here for the useful screenres identifier tool.

I think your screenres file is incorrect because the dmd is being placed where your backglass artwork should be from what I can see.  I think you need to add the dmd offset x,y positions to the screenres file.  Follow the last link on my last reply and that should help.

 

I think your screenres file should be as follows,

1921 <- try this value (assuming your backglass resolution value  is correct)

I try B2S_ScreenResIdentifier without believing it I admit it... and it's working !!!!
