I want the ball to rebound from a wall with a slight down-the table nudge

Okay I am just playing around with some things here, and I am looking for a script to do the following.

 

A ball hits  a "Test-wall", but instead of the ball just naturally bouncing off the wall, I want the rebound to have a slightly "nudge" that ball towards the front of the table. The amount of nudge needs to be adjustable with a value. Sounds like the script shout be composed of "active ball and Trans Y) towards the front of the table.
