legin Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Times are tough so they say. I have 2 hobbies which involve having good quality PC's and I can no longer afford to keep 2 good quality gaming spec PC's running. So at the moment I have a dedicated PC inside my pincab which is setup just for the pincab I am also a sim racer. This setup has a 3 screen setup (32") and a bunch of USB peripherals (pedals, wheel, button boxes etc etc. I also have a PC for this. I would really like to use one PC to fuel both hobbies but I am a little stuck on how to do this. I was thinking I could dual boot the PC and have 2 different profiles for the display settings but I am still unsure how I could handle the monitor connections without having to plug/unplug the monitors and USB devices each time I swap between pinball and racing. Someone suggested a KVM switch but as far as I know these a for mainly switching multiple PC's on one monitor. I'm trying to do the opposite. One PC over different displays. Ideas? I need to update PC's soon so this is why I am asking
SixOfTwelve Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Google "Reverse KVM", although from what I've seen at first glance those devices seem pretty expensive, and you could probably just buy a low-end pincab-capable PC for that money.
