How much power (Volts and Amps) does a knocker need to produce an arcade quality knock?

Hi All;

After asking for opinions on DOF, I decided to install SSF, an upgraded shaker and a knocker.

The shaker and knocker share a 12V 2A power supply.  The shaker works great, but the knocker isn't a knocker: It's a tapper.

What do I need to turn my tapper into a knocker? (It's from Spooky Pinball.)

   Just more amps?  (With a 12V power supply, so the knocker could still share the same supply.)

  Just more volts?   (A 24V or 48V power supply, but still only 2 A.)

  Both more amps and volts? (If so, what do you recommend?)

Thanks!

Answering my own question:

I found that a 24V 2A Power Supply produced a good solid knock with the Spooky Pinball knocker.

Not the loudest compared to real pinball machines, but in the middle of the crowd.

I didn't know there were multiple Spooky Knockers.

I purchased mine from pinballlife.com.

There was only one choice available:

Product ID: PBL-100-0021-00
Knocker Kit For Spooky Pinball

Let me know if you would like me to check the coil for a rating (gauge and windings).
