Hello together
i try to explain, something seems to not really work, i use a nucleo429ZI, the problem is that the driver is not always recognized, i have to change the ports, only then it works, also i have reflashed it and wanted to activate it again, this did not work anymore

I have the usb plugged in on the side where you flash the firmware, device is detected as st-link debug, if I now plug in the usb at the RJ45 side, the device is also detected as pin2dmd,
however wen I plug usb again the device is no longer recognized,, I know stupid to explain, it can otherwise also like times temviwer etc.

thx for helping me

From https://pin2dmd.com/installation/

!! Note :If your device does not start the PIN2DMD firmware when powered up your Discovery or Nucleo boards , you may need to change your ST-Link firmware version with this tool
http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/development-tool-software/stsw-link007.html Sometimes older versions work better.
