teensy code compilation on 4.0 for led strips and matrix

Archangl7

so, i found the original source code (.ino etc) for compiling on a teensy 3.2 that was modified from the original to add some extra stuff with led brightness i think? so, i loaded it up in arduino with teensyduino, and like i have before selected the 3.2, compiling went fine. changed it to the lc and 4.o versions, got errors on both. on the pjrc site it says that the same pins are used across all versions of the board. i notice on the octo board its for both version also. so, what am i missing? A library or something? i want to learn more about coding etc, but this is something i need to figure out right now since the 3.2 are sold out world wide basically. im not gonna take my chances on aliexpress.

I am looking into trying the wemos solution, but since its not on mjr's site, where can i find a tutorial on its setup? Does it use the same cab file etc? I say something about a modified dll. What is that for?
