Rappelbox
This is a strange issue with a evolution board i got from a customer to repair. If i use it without colorization, it works flawless. Key file on SD, everything fine. With colorization files on the SD, it takes longer to boot. Tested with several different cards from different brands. 2-3 seconds sometimes, instead of immediate boot. Palettes get loaded. Depending on colorization file it crashes after several booting times. Some colorizations work with less or even without issues, others kill the board after 2-3 boots and i have to reflash it again to make it work. My assumption is that the flash storage on the STM32F407VGT6 is corrupted because if i change PAL Storage mode to RAM it seems to work. @lucky1 does it cause any problems if the Display would run the pal storage in RAM mode permanently? Has anyone ever seen such behaviour? Have a nice weekend guys and gals

Newer colorizations especially with 64 color palettes run out of RAM memory and crash. Maybe a fake chip which doesn not have 1MB Flash ?

Chip seems legit to me, serial number indicates it comes of a series of chips i also have keys for and all others seem to work. maybe just a bad chip, sh*t happens i'll test it in RAM mode on rbion colorization a check how it works longterm. thanks for the info
