Single monitor help and info needed please

Hi, I am getting back into virtual pinball after a few years absence.

 

I did the baller install of pinup popper.

 

I installed a desktop theme.

 

I spent hours grabbing all the media for all the tables.

 

The media shows in the menu, just what the theme is set up for, just playfield, DMD, and wheel.

 

I set up the screen positions.

 

When I launch any game I don't get any media from popper.

 

When I install a pup pack I can get them working.

 

Am I wrong in thinking that without a unique pup pack that a game should use the media I downloaded and display the backglass, topper, etc from the popmedia folder?

 

I copied the pupinit.bat and PinUpPlayer.ini files into the PUPVideos\afm_113b folder hoping that would do it for Attack From Mars. Still no media. I set vpx to a lower res so it doesn't fill the screen so I can see if the media displays. It looks like it tries to display, I see something appear in the top left of screen, but it immediately minimizes then disappears. I clicked on the tab before it closed and there were three windows. but they close.

 

Games that have empty folders in PUPVideos\ don't have the screens show up at all.

 

Any help/advice will be GREATLY appreciated!
