pin2dmd 3.05 to 4.24 Advice.

I have been  using my Pin2DMD without error for awhile now, and realized i am very far behind on firmware.  Any concern going straight from 3.05 to 4.24 or should i upgrade to a smaller version first? Just don't want to brick the unit.  Its an Evo 120 x32 board.  I have upgraded using the sd method before successfully. Just haven't made this big of leap before and wondered if it is ok?
