Latest PUP Losing Video Focus

We had a marathon session on the virtual pinball last night and twice I lost the backglass and table videos when exiting back to the menu after playing a game. Using the 10.6 final and the latest 10.7 rc (270). Everything else is updated (PUP, VpinMAME, etc). Latest Windows 10 64 bit (with updates) and latest Nvidia drivers.

I found this in the event log:

Faulting application name: PinUpDisplay.exe, version: 1.4.6.462, time stamp: 0x6085a536
Faulting module name: libdirect2d_plugin.dll, version: 2.2.8.0, time stamp: 0x3d823d5d
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0000157f
Faulting process id: 0x930
Faulting application start time: 0x01d7868e84365178
Faulting application path: C:\PinUPSystem\PinUpDisplay.exe
Faulting module path: C:\PinUPSystem\VLC\plugins\video_output\libdirect2d_plugin.dll
Report Id: e2d3c368-9e3a-45a0-b2a3-7bca1c68a340
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

Any ideas?

TIA.

I have found "with marathons" especially, you need to back out of VPX/Popper every once in a while or it will crash, actually it is recommended to back out of VPX after every game :)

I found the answer thanks to Chris Stoliker on the Pinup FB group.

If you edited you launch script to say disable full screen exclusive mode that will do it.

Go here and scroll down to 1.4.6 launch script and goto pinup / emulators / visual pinball x / launch script. Copy that launch script on the wiki to yours and don't change anything. Copy the exit line to the exit line... save and that might help:

Sure enough, we had a four hour marathon session last weekend and no problems at all. I hope this helps someone.
