pin2dmd reactiviation

Recommended Posts

I got a pin2dmd a few years ago. Have it in my STTNG since day one.

The splice connectors for the power got a little bit loose, DMD wasn't powering on. So I took them off. Cleaned up the wire ends and reconnected and powering up perfect now.

My pin2dmd is coming up as not activated after the 3 minute of the pin being on though.

Would I be right thinking the power being off wiped the memory in or something like that?

it was originally activated by lucky here on these forums. the drop box link for the file has been deleted though, i would have been very lucky for it to still be there after 4 years haha

So does anyone know what I need to do now?

thanks

Downloaded that key tonight, I reset the pin2dmd, used to new key to activate it and installed a new .pal file for the pallet. Seemed to work perfect when it was connected to my pc

connected it to my pinball and this happened, see picture

any idea what the problem is?

Tried this again tonight.

Used both pal and fsq files on the sd card. Set the pin2dmd to bally/williams

it boots to the pin2dmd screen and then goes no further when connected my pinball, I double checked and I have the "real" files

Then you seem to have made something different then the last time because what is shown on the picture above (two colored lines)

is not the boot screen. Did you check the orientation of the ribbon cable ?
