Building a $30 pinball shaker motor

I built myself one of these over a year ago.

Not using the exact same parts maybe, but got a motor that at least looks the same from Amazon and also sourced power controller etc.

 

Excellent gadget that adds more than I thought it would.
I have mine set strong enough to be clearly noticeable when playing but still fairly soft. The motor itself is more than capable enough for my taste.

 

It's an *excellent* toy that adds more immersion than I'd have though.

It's used in a fair number of games and the effect is generally very well implemented. For example when brekaking the castle in MM or using the supercharger in Getaway 2.

Thanks! The shaker is still going strong. I think this is a great, affordable solution for anyone who wants a shaker motor.
