It seems that there is a missing transparent wall that should block this behavior on the central ramp. Some friends told me they experienced the same issue. I experienced that recently too.

I tried upgrading to the latest version of VPX and still no pinball. Game starts, flippers work, I can tilt out, but no ball ever appears in the shooter lane. I'm not sure if this could be related, but I had a different version of Bad Cats which uses the same rom. It seems to work fine. I'm still new to VPX / VPinMame so I'm not sure if it's caching rom data somewhere, but I also noticed when I started up the VPW version that it remembered the number of credits? Edit: I'd upgraded VPX but not VPinMame, I'll try that now. Edit 2: still no luck with VPinMame 3.5 Edited December 19, 2023 by zephmann

Content Provider Wylte Posted December 21, 2023 Content Provider Posted December 21, 2023 (edited) @Rabmos thank you for the clear (if tiny) bug reports! The ramp gate is already fixed and ready for the next patch and the F12 VR behavior has an open issue on the VPX GitHub. For the tiger ramp - the decal is below the plastic, so could it be the refraction that you're seeing? To test you could delete the render probes in the editor. Edited December 21, 2023 by Wylte

Nice that the ramp gate is fixed. Yes, the tiger image of the tiger ramp is fixed by I deleting the render probe, it's crystal clear now and not "changing" anymore.

There is one more "bug" / possible improvement: now I'm REALLY nitpicking I must say but I still see it everytime that I use the plunger: I have a pinscape plunger, the outside part of the plunger in VR goes quick/as in reality. But the white part (inside of the table) goes simply to slow, way slower then in real life, the spring of the plunger. So I think that it would be nice to tweak this a bit for the next release to make it faster. Not mandatory but it would be a nice little improvement imo. Thanks for the amazing work again!
Numiah Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 For he who's interested. There is a homebrew ROM available with several bugfixes and complete new ruleset. You can find it over at pinside.

rockyb Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 I am having a problem were the dof effects that normaly trigger for a second or two when the table first loads stay on. I have had this same problem on a few VPinWorkshop tables. Whats weird is if I change to a different version of the table the dof works correctly. It is always the same dof effects that mess up. The mx led effect in the picture and usaully combined with the beacon going off. This is on multiple VPW tables that all have the same dof effect that triggers at the start of table loading. I am pretty sure the tables that I have this issue with all were "locked" in the vpx settings. I don't know if it's coincidental but it seems to happen when I try to adjust pov/lighting settings in the live table editor. Even if I re-download the table and delete previous settings it doesn't fix it.
ciaomao Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 (edited) I noticed for the first time today that the ball rolls under the round lights, e.g. by the eyes of the three cats on the bottom. The lamps cover the ball for this moment. Does anyone know the problem? Edited October 12, 2024 by ciaomao
Hypnotoad Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 I missing ball problems with Bad Cats and a few others from VPW (Big Bang Bar, Earthshaker, Last Action Hero, LOTR, Ripleys and RollerCoaster Tycoon)missing ball. I've got about 100 other tables running just fine include some VPW ones. Resetting and restarting doesn't do any good. My components are up to date with specs. I'm testing with the 64-bit version: Visual Pinball : 10.8.0.1975 VPinMAME : 3.6.0.998 B2S Server : 2.1.2 Any ideas what to try to fix this issue?

By chance are you running the Serum colorized DMD with this? If so, try disabling the ext DMD and use just the regular scoring on the backglass. Curious if this helps you.
jansley Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 ill give it a try thank you for your response
deadmanworking Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 @jansley are you on the latest VPX and VPinMAME released this week? Upgrading to the latest VPinMAME yesterday fixed all my stutter problems on two other tables I've been having issues with for a while (BOP and Surf'n Safari).
RP1121 Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 The table runs smoothly for me but I am getting no display in the alpha numeric box. The box is there, can be dragged, resized, etc but does not display anything. It is not totally black, it looks like an alpha numeric display when showing nothing, where you can see the faint orange that forms the numbers and letters when working properly.
