dom69 Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Hi all, on several evo 128x32 I have the same failure. it starts up very well, but as soon as you connect the colorization connector, instead of having the animations there is a nice screen with all the leds lit in white. an idea ? thanks in advance
Content Provider lucky1 Posted January 23, 2021 Content Provider Posted January 23, 2021 You get this picture when you connect to a real pinball when pin11 on the dmd connector is always high instead of receiving signals. Check the connection all the way to the processor for short circuits.
dom69 Posted January 23, 2021 Author Posted January 23, 2021 I just checked, the connection I have to the PB4 processor is good but still white
dom69 Posted January 24, 2021 Author Posted January 24, 2021 very well I control it in the afternoon and I tell you
dom69 Posted January 24, 2021 Author Posted January 24, 2021 then result: input test 1/3/5/7/11/13 ok. no short-circuit on any inputs between them and on the positive or negative

dom69 Posted January 24, 2021 Author Posted January 24, 2021 So, without the connector it's ok but with it it's not good
Content Provider lucky1 Posted January 24, 2021 Content Provider Posted January 24, 2021 You are talking about the connecto of the ribbon cable going to the real WPC pinball DMD controller board. Right ? Did you try a different ribbon cable ?
dom69 Posted January 24, 2021 Author Posted January 24, 2021 yes the cable that comes from the animation card of the wpc. yes I changed the cable. I currently have 3 evos that do the same.
Content Provider lucky1 Posted January 24, 2021 Content Provider Posted January 24, 2021 Maybe a short circuit to the pins next to PB4 ? Hard to tell from remote. Did you check all joints with a magnifying glass ?
dom69 Posted January 27, 2021 Author Posted January 27, 2021 Well, I checked with a magnifying glass if there was no short-circuit between all the legs of the processor and more particularly PB4, apparently not. I think this one I'll leave it aside
