using a .pal file in sdcard

Hi,

I'm a newcomer and I already need help ?
I use a pin2dmd screen on my striker xtreme pinball (stern whitestar). As whitestar as device mode  doesn't work, I choosed data est/sega device. All is working well until I added a .pal file (generated with pin2dmd.exe tool) on sdcard : the screen is locked on "home screen" colorprism v3.17 as if the pinball wasn't connected . On the sdcard there are (root) pin2dmd.pal, pin2dmd.dat and .key files 
Did I make something wrong ?

or update to V3.18
