Plunger Kit Problem

Hi

I'm new to this lark and I am attempting to build my own Pinball Machine.  I purchased a plunger kit which came with a Williams/Bally plunger and Potentiometer.

My issue is when I put the plunger into the table although its flush on the outside of the cabinet the actual plunger bar is not horizontal and it noticeably pointing slightly upwards.  I took the plunger to one side and checked to see if it was square but it doesn't seem to be and I was wondering is this the way its supposed to be?

Thanks Thalamus for the reply.  I had a look at that link and it looks like its supposed to be at that angle, at least thats rectified.  Thanks again.
