Gwen
Is there a way to directly record Pin2DMD videos such that when they are played back on the dmd they look identical to how they were originally displayed? I have been trying to get good quality recordings from the dmdext vdmd window and they are kind of hit or miss. Sometimes they look good, others there are a lot of discrepancies in how the dmd gets displayed when it is played back.

Content Provider lucky1 Posted February 14, 2019 Content Provider Share Posted February 14, 2019 You need to record the videos in the native resolution of the pin2dmd which is 128x32
Gwen
Thanks, I'll give that a try. THough I was really thinking in terms of somehow directly recording the data being sent to the pin2dmd for future playback. Is there any way to do that? Thalamus
Well. Doesn't freezy have that option ?? video enabled, video path ?? on pindmd3 myself so have no idea if this will work. Never tried that myself either. I've just played with the web-server while playing a tourney at home. Unfortunately my cab is on wifi so after a while it was a bit too far behind the real games being played.
Pinballuser
I manually recorded DMD videos from Freezys size 1024x256 Dot size =1 then trimmed them down and sized them down to 128x32 see how they look, you might need to play with the Dot size when you record your videos if you have bleed through in the RGB panels pack of all the SAM DMD videos size 128x32 (missing 24 I don't have a generic pal I like) https://mega.nz/#!Uh9BEQYQ!8DJkXg-RDe_1RZYoEG0X1g94fbx_5Vy1XfL8eaa2AJE
