Playfield Monitor a little tight

Hey guys, does anyone have any advice on this. My playfield TV is a little too tight. I have already removed bezel and case, but the ribbons touch the wood and it's a bit tight. It does not set in there gently without force and compression on the sides.  I have tried a dremel - would take too long. A small wood planer - too small. Any one else have any ideas on how to widen the inside of the cabinet?

You need a woodwork router to cut a slot either side to give yourself the extra space.

You could also use a table saw with a dado cutting head
