Pin2dmd.exe not saving settings

So, I saved the settings via pin2dmd editor as follow, green palette, Sam machine and brightness at around 80%.

Now, I am trying to change the settings and nothing happens. 

As soon a I turn on the pin, it goes to green. And does not take the settings from the SD card. I have to reset the board via the button. 

I'm running FW 2.42

I flashed 2.41 and now at least I got the palette to show VGA colors. I still have issues.

I connected the Serial from the SAM board to a TTL board and the to B6 and B7 pins on the Discovery board.

With FW 2.42, the red LED on the TTL board flashes, but most of the time is off and the palette does not change.

With FW 2.41, the red LED on the TTL board is on and the palette is actually switching, but is erratic. Sometimes the right palette is selected, but sometimes is not.

I still have issues with the settings with pin2dmd.exe not saving/creating pin2dmd.dat file.

All this issues might be happening because I am using a V1 shield. I don't know.

Last night, I got it working.

I supplied 5v and GND to the TTL board and now with FW 2.41 is showing the right palette all the time. I thought the Voltage was supplied via the Serial connector from the SAM board.
