Metallica Table Sound Question

Hey guys I just loaded the Metallica table on my machine and it is beautiful. I am running into a problem with the sounds cracking like blown speakers, I have tried turning down the sounds on the rom and just turning up my machines speakers but this helps very little. Also I am dissapointed because I really want to jam out to the music and it seems that the music is not as loud as the machine sounds IE: flippers, slingshots, popbumpers etc. It seems it needs to be the other way around. Any ideas on how to improve the sound quality as the table itself runs perfectly and looks great!  I know that they probably run differently but some of the tables I have in future pinball, A/C DC for instance sound phenominal but the gameplay physics are terrible. Any help to enjoy this table better would be appreciated.

For some reason both versions of the table have a sound issue - I have cranked up the MUSIC setting in the ROM up to 15 and it is still quiet compared to the speech.

I know the music is stored in the rom.  Has anyone tried the v1.63 rom????

Have you tried AC/DC with ZEDPhysics?  It doesn't play as well as VP, but it's better than a stock FP version.  If you use BAM you could try say 2.5, 2.6 or even 2.7 physics engines loaded and see if the table plays better ......  Because FP does not rely on a ROM, all the sounds are probably original recordings and remixed or EQ'd for use in the games.  FP tables do sound better in general to ROM based sound in VP tables.... But with a ROM you are getting the REAL version of how the table sounds and not someone else's interpretation......  Check under the Metallica table's SUPPORT TOPIC for more info on sound changes....!!!
