osujd Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Hi All, I am having issues getting my under cab lighting to work correctly. I realize that for most people soldering the gold connections together makes sense but I am not that great at soldering and not sure how to do it correctly on such a small area so I decided to buy the 90 connectors. It seems like it should work have I have 12v at the + and ground is working at each rgb correctly. however when I put each end into the connector I only see green and blue which make me wonder if I cut this correctly. Can anyone confirm whether this looks like it should work.
randr Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 So you ground each color and all work but red? Not sure I get what your asking. If red don't work maybe the connection or bad strip but doubt strip is bad
Content Provider gtxjoe Posted September 29, 2015 Content Provider Posted September 29, 2015 Must be a connector issue, wiggle each side and see if you can get it working or try squeezing the connector tightly. I used some of these connectors and if it was flaky I put some solder on them and then the connection is solid
franzkenstein78 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 hi just did the same connection with the "L" corner... everything is fine (carefull when you cut off the silicon protection). i see on the 2nd pic that the connection is inverted on the piece of plastic (+ is not on the + from the connector and thus is not on the + from the led)... this may be the problem cheers
