osujd Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Hello All, I just recently purchased several siemens contactors. I know this has probably been answered before but I have know idea how to mount them to my cab. I have taken the mount apart from the contractor but there still doesn't appear to be a way to get a screwdriver to it. Any help would be much appreciated.
randr Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Regular Siemens contactors have 4 holes to mount to surface. Some are rail mount only but those are not as common. Post a pic of what you have
neohusky Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 As randr said the regular contactors have 4 screws holes. Here's a real quick pic of mine.
osujd Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 So there definitely is two mounts but there just isn't a whole lot of room to get a screwdriver in there
osujd Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 I was able to muscle it in there....probably strip a few screws in the process
jukedock Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 They are DIN rail mounted. The rail is very cheap. Do you have an electrician friend? or call in at an Electrical wholesalers.I would not 'bodge' screws into contactors where they should not be, as they are made from a material that can shatter easily.
