Content Provider gtxjoe Posted December 9, 2014 Content Provider Posted December 9, 2014 http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/2480-vpinmame-sampindmdunity-unified-version/ Download, unzip and replace existing file in location C:\Visual Pinball\VPinMame\ Also try deleting csi_240.nv from C:\Visual Pinball\VPinMame\nvram folder
MrManiac Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I had the same problem even after installing 2.05. Look further down the forums to "Table Development and Releases", then to subforum "Works in Progress". The last page of the "CSI" thread shows how I got my ball to appear. (Also had deleted my nvram with no success.)

newer Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Hallo Arngrim I use no PinDMD i use a normal TFT for my DMD in my Pincab. I use the vpinmame 2.0.5 DLL and also the V5 Physmod exe. Also the new Playboy and Big Bug Hunters, XMen, XFiles, the Simpsons and maybe many other tables dont start anymore with the NEW 2.0.5 DLL. If i change it back to Version 2.0.4 all works fine.. Anybody have the same Problem? I think iam be the only one....
Lizard Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I had the same issue. Had to change the pindmd setting in the registry for the affected tables.http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/2480-vpinmame-sampindmdunity-unified-version/ Instructions are at the bottom of the page. Dont know why it changes but the solution fixes it.

MrManiac Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Newer, I was the one that got my ball to appear by lowering contact friction setting, see picture
newer Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 Mr Maniac, You starting this Table with the normal Vp.9.9 exe in there is this Option what you Show me not, This is an pshysmod 5 Table and if you starting with the Physmod exe there is this Option Because of that i dont found the Last days
Content Provider gtxjoe Posted December 13, 2014 Content Provider Posted December 13, 2014 Noise the Problem.
MrManiac Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Whhaaatt? Was sure I had PM5 installed correctly, and 50+ physmod tables working (all except ACDC). Thought I was using different .exes, have vpexetables.txt set up. Am I really still somehow stuck in VP990, and should not see "Options" or "Backdrop" buttons? Going to kick myself pretty hard if this is true. Heading to the cab now to investigate.....
MrManiac Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Okay, I have both VPinball.exe and Physmod5.exe in the Visual Pinball folder, and vpexetables.txt in Hyperpin\Settings folder with table name on line 1 and Physmod5.exe on next line, repeating this for all PM5 tables. Are these locations correct? Perhaps I have the vpexetables.txt file in wrong location? I notice that if I open VPinball.exe or Physmod5.exe I get the exact same screen, looks like the screenshot I posted above. Shouldn't these 2 .exe's look different when opened? WTH is going on. Edit: Think I got it, found that if I open the table straight from the PM5.exe in Visual Pinball folder, "Contact Friction" is now "Playfield Friction". Reloaded ACDC file, now works with settings provided. For some reason my vpexetables.txt file is not doing its job, and table was opening in VP9.
BobAlbright Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 The vpexetables. txt file needs to be in the Hyperpin settings folder
MrManiac Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 That's where I have it. After some research, it looks like I need FPLaunch WIP 10 to be able to use the file, not the WIP 9 I have now. Also see some people have had issues when upgrading to WIP 10, hoping I don't.
GadgetGidget Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Where is everyone getting CSI and Indy from? They're not hosted here.
Administrators Dazz Posted December 17, 2014 Administrators Posted December 17, 2014 CSI is in the download section. Indy isn't released yet as it is a work in progress.
BobAlbright Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Yes, Maniac. You need the wip 10 FP Launch to use vpexetables. I was very reluctant to upgrade to the latest FP Launch as well. I'm no computer guru if something went wrong. But, as it turned out, it installed with no issues at all. Just for safe keeping, I'd back up the two files from FP Launch so that you could go back to the old if necessary. With VP10 coming soon, the ability to launch different exe's will be even more important since VP10 will not run VP8 or VP9 tables---at least that's what I read.
MrManiac Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 After reading some of the WIP 10 thread I was scared of install issues, but my upgrade also went smoothly. A couple strange things though - the new Indy machine would start in VP9 instead of PM5 while in HyperPin. Tried numerous things to correct, changed in vpexetables, renamed all files, changed .bin file name, deleted NVram, etc, but just wouldn't start in PM5. Did a reload of the WIP 10 and all was fine?? Also, sometimes when I quit in HyperPin, the "thunk" noise that you hear 3 times when quitting will get "stuck" and just keep going and going. You can exit HyperPin to the desktop, noise continues until HyperPin is restarted, a machine selected, then exited. Doesn't happen all the time, but is quite annoying when it does.
