Les73gtx
This is a bit off topic but I was thinking that there would be someone with some knowledge on these. At the casino over the weekend and some of the new latest and greatest games have some very cool things going on and are very interactive. With mini games and video animations and so on and so on. The wife really likes the casino and would love for me to build her something to go along side the Mame and VP Cabinets. Looking around I have found most everything I need to get this done, I think. The software was the biggest thing and there might be something else out there but we have settled on the Masque video slots series from http://www.masque.com . What I am needing help with is finding the interactive video buttons that they have on the machines now. These buttons that display the Bet amounts and Spin reels ... well all of them are like a micro video screen and change as needed with the game and what is happening at the time. Kinda hard to explain but if someone here has seen them they will know exactly what I am talking about. As it is, it is looking like it might be cheaper to buy a used slot machine, but to get one that can play all the games you want to pay for ... well it is like our Pincabs and Mame cabinets. I was in hopes that someone here has been or still is in the industry and can give some advice to this topic. Thanks

Content Provider freneticamnesic Posted October 29, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted October 29, 2014 I remember that one... I think the new Razer laptop has a few oled buttons as well http://www.nkkswitches.com/oled-pushbutton.aspx look like they're $77 a piece, there's also some other options - don't ask me how to hook them up though lol http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/switches/programmable-display-switches/1115370

Les73gtx
Good finds ... thanks ... I got busy with looking at some other stuff on YouTube about new tech ... somehow I have fell out of the loop in the last 3 years ... kids will do that I guess ... lol looks like programming is easy enough ... Animation sequences are built, tested and downloaded to the panel using a simple Windows based software tool called the Resource Builder. The resource builder supports 1 to 15 buttons per panelbut to integrate them to the specific software ... hmmm
Les73gtx
that is really cool actually The Programmable Button Panel supports multiple button assemblies. Each button assembly incorporates a clear plastic button top over a graphical OLED display and a translucent bezel. Under the bezel and around the perimeter of each button is an array of eight programmable RGB LED’s. Each button contains an on-board micro controller and flash memory for local content storage. Each button can store multiple sequences and animations. Buttons are accessed and controlled via a single USB (HID) connection from the Host application. No special drivers are required. The USB protocol handles error checking, acknowledgements, etc. On the stargames link
Content Provider gtxjoe Posted October 29, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted October 29, 2014 What about a touchscreen monitor
Les73gtx
What about a touchscreen monitor . The main monitor will need to be a touchscreen and the buttons are there also ..... that is a good idea too. The panel where the buttons mount would be a touchscreen but then we are back to trying to find a monitor in that unusual size ... like 6" tall and 15" wide. The wife says that the mechanical buttons are needed to give the casino feel ... also going to have the pull lever ... even though I have not seen her use it more than 5 times ever ... lol
