Hi Guys

Got the rom thanks and renamed.

Do i replace the dll file in pinmame folder with the latest cab dll from the link provided?

If so when i try existing tables they just hang or the dmd displays funny (off to one side.)

is it maybe because i downloaded the unified version instead of the cab version?

I can run the table (which looks gorgeous) and have the dB2s backglass appear too, but have no DMD (on the playfield or backglass).  Coins get deposited and plunger sound works, but no display / start of game.....  Any idea's?

Thanks to all for your assistance.  I eventually deleted all the files I'd downloaded, registry keys, nvram, DB2s files and re-downloaded everything and FINALLY the tables works with a DMD showing. Phew - only took about 3 hours of buggering around!!!  I have 1 issues remaining.  I have a skipping/doubling in the sound samples, almost like Elvis and Soprano's sounded like before switching to 'samples' and off the 'ROM' sounds.  Anyone know if that is possible with BBH?

also got this working well sort of.

Do you need a big rig to run this as if i press insert coin about 2 minutes later it registers

Yes, SAM emulation does require more processing power. If there isn't enough then sounds will stutter.

Dazz is onto something here.  Just realised that all my recent SAM tables are having the sound stutter (Avengers and X-Men also).  Shame.  Might be time for a CPU/video card upgrade.

BBH is kind of model heavy as well, if you want a way to improve performance without sacrificing much on the table, click on the 'elk' in VP editor, which is really just a copy of the Buck model at the moment and in the primitive options menu un-check visibility.  This will make the Elk no longer visible/render and should give a bit of a boost to performance.  The elk isn't really as necessary as the main Buck so you won't be losing out too much.

I did recently help 85vett sort out a different model for the Elk which is actually an Elk and not just a copy of the buck that has substantially less faces that you may see in a future update. Although it has less faces/polys if you are currently having performance issues with the table I'd recommend just keeping the elk invisible....the elk on the ramp diverter, not the buck in the middle of the table.  If it's still not 'playable' for you, you could try enabling 'render static' for the plastic ramp as well, but you won't see the ball travel underneath it any more with that enabled.
